Ice fishinf season approaches

18 Days left before ice fishing season opens I cant wait. Last year on opening day there was barely an 1" of ice...not this year. Gunna be thick!!!!
I, like many emergency personnel do, ran a mock "ice fishing drill" to see if I was prepared for opening day on Puddle Pond. It went like clock work so it looks like I'll be ready! The question is, Will You?

Oh good... I enjoyed the pictures and stories from last year. Are you going to be able to get out much with the new baby in the picture?

No...definitely no!....Here it is day3 and I still haven't been.... sad.
However...I did snowshoe a mile into "somewhere in the woods" Falls with the in laws the other day. It was great to be out. Here are a few pictures of the day. The only other signs of life were the deer and otter tracks up the river.

Ice pancakes for dinner...fresh, too!

The Falls.....not much but a great bass fishing hole full of 4 lbers!!!

A face in the ice...can you see it?

Downriver

You know... must be the new baby you've got. You've really let us down on the fishing stories this year. Smile

Nice pictures, BTW

Sorry, I have let you down......I also bought a house that was finished on the outside but unfinished on the inside...so between the baby, work, and doing all the plumbing, wiring, chimney, sheet rock, flooring..ect ect..I haven't gone fishing at allllllll.
Yes,shocking as it may be...I do have hopes for the day when the in laws come here so I might get a day to sneak off into the willy wags! But presently, my life is highly regulated when it comes to "chub" time.
As you can see I haven't even had time to really respond to anyone at this site.
Sad
I'm a sad shell of the man I used to be.......
However, I do think I'm beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel.....
.........hopefully......... Shocked

At least you could use one of those tackle boxes to keep your testicles in. Wink
