Halt to 'Female' Camel Cigarettes Sought

"Camel No. 9 hit stores early this year. It immediately drew fire for its stylish packaging—shiny, sleek black boxes bordered with fuschia and teal—and ads that included florals, hints of lace and the slogan "Light and Luscious."

Apparently the feminist crowd thinks that females are just too stupid to resist a dangerous product marketed toward them with florals and lace.

Apparently they think that males are smart enough to resist a dangerous product marketed toward them with images of cowboys etc. (or they just don't give a crap about Men). Or both.

If women or men are stupid enough to smoke, that's their prerogative. Every adult in this country knows that cigs can kill them. Why bother trying to convince them to change?

And yes, I agree, these groups that are doing this "public service", really must think the consumers are total morons. (Unfortunately they might be right.)

But don't you think what's really interesting is that it's the feminist types who apparently think females in particular are amazingly stupid?

They are constantly insulting the people who they exist to defend, seemingly because insulting them is necessary in order to continue portraying them as vicitms who need to be defended.

Hey! If you got to go femine, go fusha! My eldest had a friend over here and she had fushia hair. It was so wicked gorgeous! I mean, I couldn't help but to touch it... Well, I caught the dickens for 'touching', but I told her it was just so beautiful, I just had to feel to see if it was real or a wig.

Yup, it is real! But now, sad o say, it is just pink... that beautiful fushia is gone gone gone. Sad

Am I crazy? YES I AM!!!

I'll agree with you on this viz. Smokers aren't victims - men, women, black, white, whatever. It's a personal choice. A tragic choice, but their choice to make.

I'll agree that it is a choice. Maybe the choice comes when you pick up or are offered the very first cigarette.

After you spend your first year convincing yourself that 'I won't get addicted', Once that has passed, I would say that it is no longer their "choice".
