Shocked Oh My ... A tribute video for a Nazi Sympathizer! (above)

"Hitler's British Girl" (below) is a Channel 4 documentary film about the
British Nazi Sympathizer 'Unity Mitford' and her relationship with Adolf Hitler.

The film made by following an investigation by journalist Martin Bright that
revealed that she might have secretly given birth to Hitler's lovechild.

This documentary is in 5 parts ...

A beautiful girl!

Her sister was supposed to be the great British beauty, but I think she was the one with the real beauty.

I don't know what to make of the story about the maternity hospital. It certainly is odd, but that doesn't necessarily mean that a child was born, or that it was Hitler Junior.

Neutral Beats me .. I don't keep up with that kind of stuff.

It is interesting though .. that her given middle name was “Valkyrie” ...

Yes, it is all very odd.

Many believed that it was all predestined, because her legal name was "Unity Valkyrie Mitford," and she was conceived in a town named "Swastika, Ontario."

It's strange that a mainstream pop band would honor this "evil" woman.

And the music is quite fetching, and the artwork highly sensitive.

But then again, Hitler was a watercolor painter and an architect, the two fields of art that attract the most sensitive artists.

The song certainly grows on you.

"Everything will be beautiful.."

I can agree to that.

The question is, is the band really honoring Unity Mitford, or are they poking fun by writing a very beautiful, tender song about two "evil" people?

How can something evil inspire something beautiful? I mean, could this be done for Lenin or Stalin, for example?

My theory is that Hitler was an artistic genius, who after losing his eyesight from gas in the WWII, was profoundly injured emotionally.

My Mother (a Maine artist) used to admire Hitler's artworks.

I really enjoyed the artworks (and music) in the video.

Perhaps 'The Indelicates' were impressed by her middle name of 'Valkrie'?

Hitler, and Germany, had many good qualities until it was decided that
it was time to eliminate the Jews and take-over Europe.

Yes, it is quite a remarkable name.

Hitler said after becoming a politician, "What an artist dies in me."

As for Unity, she died in 1947, I believe. Her story is quite tragic.

Of course, the story about the baby is not in keeping with Hitler's character.

But there was quite a dust-up with Eva Braun after Unity started getting invited to tea every day.

The song "I Never Loved Eva Braun" is the only other popular song I know of that deals with Adolf and Eva, but an awful lot of related material seems to be surfacing these days.

I wouldn't qualify the truth on the basis of what a songwriter thinks.

Here's another angle on Hitler's baby ...

Unity Mitford and 'Hitler's baby'
Posted by Martin Bright - 13 December 2007 12:00

As war broke out, Hitler admirer Unity Mitford made a botched suicide attempt
and was invalided home.
But how come she ended up in a maternity home?

Yes, this is an intriguing photo, and seems to be a candid shot. Hitler looks a little distressed, and there is a look of concern on Unity's face.

I agree. A songwriter is not the source to go to for history.

It's best to rely on first-hand reports of those who were close to events.

It's been retouched for propaganda purposes, of course, by the Allies.

The issue of fabricated photos from this period is a fascinating topic.

Many of the photos were doctored, others were outright fakes.

I have seen photos captioned "Eva Braun" though they were obviously of another woman.

Mr. Green That's probably when she told him she was pregnant.

Yes, I thought at first it might be indigestion from too much Strudel, but I think that certainly could be one possible, but extremely far-fetched explanation for the photo.

I mean, Eva and all the rest of the gang would have been there, too.

Wink I said that in jest of course ...

I highly doubt that Eva was present when (and if)
Unity told Adolph she was pregnant.

Oh, okay...I didn't think that through.

Then it must have been the Strudel.
