Greetings
Hello
I’m a regular conservative from Maine and nowhere else. I have been hiding away and enjoying my life on my 100 acres and running a small business, and after many many years of discussion of what is wrong with the political environment of local state and federal politics, I have decided that just discussions with personal acquaintances was not solving anything, it was time to get public because things just seem to get worse.
I just lost my first bid into politics while trying to get onto the school board to help straighten out a real budget mess. 3 seats were open and 5 bidders for those seats, and I came in forth. I guess I am not a politician, because the people did not like my editorials calling people screaming liberals, and identifying the mess the liberals are making to our economy. I just witnessed a huge travesty, we voted down the SAD budget 3 times and the superintendent went to a public meeting that was packed with school personnel and voted their budget in with increases.
My simple points are to wage war on liberalism, kick out the environmental liberals, dam the streams and rivers for cheaper power so that our Maine industry can operate, and bring some fiscal efficiency to our local and State government.
I am a conservative thinker, do not call me republican, because there are plenty of liberals to be found there, especially here in Maine. I would be republican, if republican ideals were those of Reagan and Gingrich. It seems that once a good person becomes a politician, they seem to want to put their fingers into that pie for their own personal benefit. It is time to create a strong citizen action group and bring the government more visible to the taxpayers. I find that most conservative people are to busy with their own lives, and pleasures and do not want to be bothered with the endless toils of fighting with the government issues.
Well greetings to all this was my personal essay _________________ Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.
