My New Job

Here is a time when it would be wonderful to have many Mainers on these Message Boards. First I would like to express my Gratitude to the Founder of The Voice of Maine. I had thought that this place was owned by a radio station which uses "The Voice of Maine," but Vermin Munster set me straight about that.

Anyway, I got a brand new job today and I am really excited about it. My past life was involved in being associated with the broadcasting field then I sent into business with me and my wife and we did pretty good.

Today, I got this job that I know many people would like to have too and in fact many people already do have this job too. The people who are successful in this job smile a lot and they give a lot to all kinds of individuals and organizations.

My new job description is this: To look for things to feel good about.

I started my new job today August 13, 2009 Thursday. I must admit that this is not such an easy job, i.e. my first day so far. Oh, this job has no days off, no vacation time, no overtime, and it is a 24 hour a day job except when I am sleeping. I am on duty every waking moment.

See ya later, Haley

Here are some of the results from my new Job. I choose to GIVE the Good to You.

Becoming aware of every "good" thing you've manifested/ created/ attracted (and baring in mind that every "good" thing in your life HAS been manifested/ created/ attracted by You Wink ) - when you notice each thing, say to yourself "Look how much I love myself!".

The fact that it's not raining when you have to go out; the fact that you have a car; the fact that you are able to buy milk; the fact that you have a store nearbye; the fact that you have a television; the fact that you have a computer; the fact that you have this wonderful forum; the fact that you have shoes; the fact that the traffic light turned green as you got there; the fact that you have somewhere to live; the fact that you have a loved-one; the fact that you're not in pain; the fact that you're not cold; the fact that there are birds tweeting outside; the fact that you can turn on a tap and get clean running water.... I could go on lol, but you get the idea Wink - for every good thing you notice in your life (and it takes awareness for this because we - being human Wink - tend to not notice the simple good things in our lives, unless they're no longer there Wink ) - for each good thing you notice during your day, say to yourself "Look how much I love myself!".

Notice how you feel when you say that.

2. When you daydream about what you want - about your desires - as you daydream and imagine what it's like to have them.... say to yourself "Look how much I love myself!" - that phrase is Powerful and Magical in manifesting, as it's connected to the things you already have that you appreciate... it's like a Magical wand that you are pointing at your target desires Wink They are then endowed with the same energy as the things that already exist in your life.

Let me know if you do this, and how it goes. Smile

Hey, Pal, it is nice work and anyone can get if they make a simple adjustment to their thinking.

Do you ever say things to your self such as, "I feel really good today."

You know there some people who say very unhappy things to themselves. They say things like, "I feel terrible. I can't find a job. The boss does not like me. My business is losing money. The government just can't get it right."

And, the list of negative things keep multiplying. You know why that is? It is because what we think with emotion, either good or not good comes to us multiplied. And, it works the same way if a person would say just the opposite like, "I find it easy to find a Job. I feel Good now. I am my own boss and I like me. My business is on the upswing and it is making money every day. The government is doing a good job overall.

"Everything I need to know comes easily to me now."

This is what my job is all about, Friendly Giant. That is why I say, that my job is to look for things to feel good about. When I do that I get more good things to feel good about. It is like a glorious cycle of achievement.

What say you?

Usually I say things to myself such as, "I think I'd like some more mashed potatoes today."

I agree with positive thinking, but it must be based in some sort of logic - can you honestly say any government has ever got anything right?

What say you?[/quote] Overall I agree, sounds like you've got yourself a tit job there, sir or madam.

Friendly Giant you wrote: "I agree with positive thinking, but it must be based in some sort of logic - can you honestly say any government has ever got anything right? "

Ronald Reagan said, "There's got to be a pony in there somewhere." So, to answer your thought about government; Yes, I can honestly say that government has gotten things right.

I base this on the fact that GOOD exists in everything if only you focus on the Good. Yet, people to often look for the bad in everything which makes the person not Feel Good and this affects their life on many levels.

So, the logic lies in looking for the good or looking for the pony in there.

And, since the Law of Attraction never takes a moment off it suggests that if a person focuses on the Good more Good comes and the opposite is true as well. If a person looks for the good they will always find it because they are focused on the good and the law must work to deliver more good.

one more thing

When you quote someone, it needs to be someone of substance or no one will take it seriously.
When you quote Ronald Raygun, my brain shuts off - I shudder to think that someone who believes in astrology ran the White House for eight years (or so)

Friendly Giant: "Tell me where is the good in Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, Khadafy, Dahmer, Manson ... huh? Tell me."

I can tell you this about Hitler. When I was in Germany, in the Military, I came into contact with many German civilians who lived during the time of Hitler. And many told me how much the Germans loved Hitler and many still do. In fact, in the United States there are many people who love Hitler and you can prove that to yourself by visiting one National Socialist Web site. Here is the URL. www.stormfront.org

In Iraq there are thousands of people today who would love Iraq to return to the days WITH Saddam Hussein. They think his rule was good.

I don't know enough about Jeffery Dahmer to make any comment here, but I can say about Manson. Manson was loved and respected by his group and perhaps a number of other people even today.

I think perhaps that you may be judging the issue from your own personal bias and that is OK. Still, how can others who do not share your bias, say people who believe in unconditional forgiveness, not also forgive you for your bias?

What does it serve a person to live in the past and relive it over and over and over in their mind?

I just got a new job which is to look for things to feel good about. Sometimes I see this job can be tough.

You have cited perversions. Some people think it's normal to buttf--k each other.

"Manson was loved and respected by his group and perhaps a number of other people even today"

I guess you haven't read any of the numerous reports about how his followers are full of regret and repentence. The only ones who love or admire him today are people who don't know the difference between good and evil.

So ... you're saying live and let live no matter how perverted, cruel, domineering, unloving? No thanks.

"What does it serve a person to live in the past and relive it over and over and over in their mind?"

I sure don't live in the past, but I try to learn from it, and obviously you've got a set of blinders on.

"I just got a new job which is to look for things to feel good about. Sometimes I see this job can be tough.

It can be tough - very tough, look what happened to Pollyana. Wink

Good day, Friendly Giant. Just read your words where you said:

You have cited perversions. Some people think it's normal to buttf--k each other.

Perversions are what people decide are perversions. And, yes, there are and have been men, for thousands of years, who have thought it normal to buttf--k each other, and they are doing it today and now they are getting married legally. To you this is a perversion. To those who engage in such activity do not. It is merely a difference of opinion.

I guess you haven't read any of the numerous reports about how his followers are full of regret and repentance. The only ones who love or admire him today are people who don't know the difference between good and evil.

Yes, you are right about me not reading any reports about Manson's followers. That is because I choose to focus on what is good rather than looking at the evil in life. Why focus on evil? What a person focuses on they attract more of it. This is why there is so much unrest in the world today. People focus on the bad and this is what they get.

So ... you're saying live and let live no matter how perverted, cruel, domineering, unloving? No thanks.

I am saying that a person comes into this physical life to get experience of all kinds. Some come to experience doing all the things you deem a perverted, cruel, and domineering, etc. Some of those kind are highly respected too. There are those in politics across the globe as they conjure up wars that kill seemingly innocent people. What about the people in the drug business making billions selling drugs to those who have no clue as to how these drugs negatively affect their bodies.

I sure don't live in the past, but I try to learn from it, and obviously you've got a set of blinders on.

I have blinders on? Isn't is nice that you have the right to express an opinion about others without getting fined or harmed. Opinions are like ass holes...everyone's got one.

Really enjoy communication on these issues...this is a great learning center.
