[Maine] Governor Paul LePage tells NAACP to "Kiss My Butt"!

Governor of Maine, Paul LePage declined invitations from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People(NAACP) to participate in any Martin Luther King, Jr ceremonies taking place to honor the celebrated leader of the Civil Rights Movement.

Using the excuse of having an adopted Jamaican son, he decries the NAACP as a special interest by which he will not be held hostage. "They are a special interest.

Paul LePage honors MLK.

I don't.

Do you see the enormous power of this organization?

Despite going to MLK breakfasts in Waterville, LePage is still cricitized because

HE DID NOT HONOR MLK IN THE WAY THE MAINE NAACP WANTED.

THAT IS INTIMIDATION, AND IT IS UNAMERICAN!
