Harper Announces New Security Strategy

27 August, 2010 [Ennui News Service]
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced plans for a new system for keeping tabs on the citizens of Canada. Accompanied by his Agriculture Minister Garth McFarren, Harper outlined proposed changes in Canadian security, the spearhead of the changes being microchips in provincial auto driver's licences. Location of licencees will be swept several times daily (by GPS systems already in place) from the central Canadian Security Center located near Klegstrum, Alberta.
McFarren revealed that chips have already been attached to over 17,000,000 licences issued since 2004. This was done without the knowledge of the license recipients.
In answer to reporter's questions, Harper dismissed the idea that 1984 has arrived in Canada. "Nonsense," he said. "This is 2010."
