4th of July leg chainsawing

My brother chainsawed into his leg on the 4th. Luckily, he was wearing chaps but it still got thru.
He drove back to his house on the tractor and then went to the hospital,
Hes ok but its a reminder to be careful with a chainsaw.
The picture below is a bit gorey for some so be advised.....
.....enjoy

A lot of people don't use any protective clothing...imagine how bad it would have been then.

Wow... that's pretty disgusting! How did he manage to get his leg in front of the chainsaw like that?

I am one of those people that often get careless with a saw from time to time. It is a good safety reminder. I have no business cutting firewood at camp anytime after noon. Wink

I'm still not sure how he got the saw up there by his knee, He told me that the chaps he was wearing were bunched up near the knee, but I'm still don't know the details

The leg is all fine and hes up and hobbling around. He actually had the staples out by the end of three weeks...and it now just a nice scar. He explained how the saw got up there, but I still don't understand it either.
As for cutting firewood in at camp.....If i can just get my buddy not to use the saw while wearing Teva sandles..........it would be bloody. Wink

Must have been a good story if it was that complicated that you can't figure it out Smile
