Hello Maine...

I just found your site today. I am living in South Louisiana, just between Katrina and Rita..we were fortunate..I'm just wondering what you guys think of what's going on down here...We have certainly had our share of "air time" but would love to know what you think of what's being shown on TV..

We were in Maine about 3 years ago. Flew into Bangor and drove to Bar Harbor. What a beautiful place. Took the CAT and did the big tourist thing...Your state is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see what you think of our swamp of a state..[/img]

Hi Tabasco,

LA and MS have some work to do for sure. You were lucky not to get hit. Welcome to the forum. Smile

Thank you..

I have been so blessed..there is so much destruction around us..My daughter lives in Lafayette, my neice in Baton Rouge, my best friend in Abbeville...It's bad all around us, but we have been spared....

Our neighbors all around us are destroyed...their houses, cars, businesses are all gone.. The worst thing that happened to us, other than roof damage and tree damage, was that we had a car in New Orleans in for service and the dealership didn't move it before the storm. It was flooded and was totaled. We were fortunate compared to everyone else. So what... now we have one car instead of two..at least my husband and I are in the same business so we can commute together... Again, we are the lucky ones....
